In year 2004, the program presented a news report on the international project funded by the World Bank and the French Development Agency (62$ million) to restore the cultural heritage of five historical cities, including Tripoli.     4. Sabah ElWard (Interview): Sabah ElWard is a daily program of New TV (Lebanon) presented by Ms. Maysoun Nouwayhed. In year 2004, Ms. Maysoun Nouwayhed interviewed Prof. Omar Tadmori on the subject of "Islamic History of Lebanon". The discussion included very informative topics on how to write the proper history of Lebanon, the differences between authorship and investigations in history writing, proper sources and references to undermine the Islamic history of Lebanon, difficulties in working on the Islamic history of Lebanon, misconcepts regarding the Islamic history of Lebanon in general and Tripoli in specific. The interview preceeded a lecture by Prof. Omar Tadmori at the Lebanese American University entitled "Lebanon According to the Arabic and Islamic Archives" (18.11.2004).     5. From the Regions: A program of the National Broadcasting Corporation (Lebanon) that explores aspects of life in the different regions of Lebanon. The program, prepared by Ms. Rania Sayyah, discussed the issue of the disabled in Tripoli, especially the recent development in which disabled people were offered kiosks located at specific sites in the city. The program included interviews with Mr. Nabil al`Abed (president of the Council of the Disabled in North Lebanon), Mr. Mo'nes `AbdelWahhab, Col. Samir Sha'arani (member of the Council of the Municipality of Tripoli), Mr. Rashid Jamali (president of the Municipality of Tripoli), Dr. As`ad Diab (minister of Social Affairs), and Mrs. Angel Na'oum (member of the administrative committee of the Council of the Disabled in North Lebanon). This exclusive film narrates the story of the conquest of Tripoli by the Mamelukes in 1289 CE and describes the daily details of the conquest. Besides being a valuable documentary on the events that took place during the conquest of Tripoli, this film details the history of the construction of the Mansouri Great Mosque in a very informative and simple way. It was directed by Dr. Khaled Tadmori.
